Don't Be So Type A

Researcher founds Type A person are tend to have stress-related illnesses such as hypertension, and coronary heart disease. It is the time to take it seriously in case you have such personality. Below are 3 strategies to make your life different:

1. Celebrate Small

Instead of being very competitive and self-critical, start learning how to appreciate oneself without judgement. Be fully present, feel the sense of joy on your effort and accomplishments. Even a small thing could make your day different.

2. Focus One Thing At a Time

Schedule smart and never too tight and overwhelm. You will be surprise how productive it will be and even achieve more by just focus on one thing at a time. Whenever you found yourself in the mode of multi-tasking without thinking again, take a deep breathe in, prioritise and learn to focus ONE again.

3. Practice Conscious Breathing

Type A person is easily irritated by others and display anger and envy. It is important to learn how to stop in the moment, step back and breathe. This single step allows you to see the situation with a bigger picture, different angle, and clearer mind. One simple technique on conscious breathing is to count 4 seconds on inhale, hold for 7 seconds, and exhale deeply for 8 seconds. Back to the basic and learn how to breathe consciously, through every inhale and exhale, focus on oneself again.
